Murphy - Go Away!!!

We have had a unwelcome visitor with us the past couple of weeks and his name is Murphy. You all probably know him well as he likes to show up and visit at the worst times. I thought that I had left him at a Country Coach parked at Alabama Motorcoach, Inc., here in Montgomery, last week. We had a couple of items repaired along with replacing two front tires and figured it was time for Murphy to move on. Wrong, he wasn't done with us yet.

Sunday, after enjoying a good home cooked meal the tell tale sign appeared, one of three odors you don't want to smell in a RV - ammonia!!! Yep, our Norcold was attacked by Murphy and he won.

It was a slow leak so we were privileged to have the ammonia odor present for two days. Of course Monday was a holiday (doesn't it always happen over a weekend or holiday?) so that meant waiting till this morning to contact Alabama Motorcoach about our unwelcome visitor.

I was at the service counter at 7:30 am this morning and Billy, the service manager is working on it as we speak. I provided him all the information he needed, so now we wait for a new cooling unit. With any luck it will come in tomorrow and be repaired on Thursday. Thank goodness for Good Sam CSP - it should save us some $$.

When we leave from getting it repaired, this time I'm going to make sure that Murphy stays behind - I'll do what ever it takes - LOL.

And life goes on.......

Murphy must be pulling double duty because he's been active in Oklahoma, too. My computer "died" about 2 weeks ago and about the same time we discovered that our septic system is not working right here at our home base. Then on the way back from our son's wedding our back-up camera quit working. We checked the connections and the camera is working now but don't know for how long. Good luck with the repairs. As long as he's at your place, maybe he won't bother us:-) Although, he did a pretty good job on us here at home on Wednesday. You can read the details on our blog:-)

Sure hope your repairs work and solve the problems for you.

Hang in there.

The refrigerator is working but they broke the ice maker - won't dump the ice! We are not staying next week to get it fixed, will use ice trays till fall when we come back through and they will fix it then.
