First three days with Morgan

We didn't have internet on Friday and yesterday we were busy, so today is catch up day.

We left Montgomery on Friday morning with Morgan (my granddaughter) in tow. Here she is saying good-by to her Daddy and ready for her New Adventure.

Yesterday, we arrived at Lake Lanier Islands north of Atlanta. I have to tell you, I'm not at all impressed with the campground! I'll post some pictures later. It's very primitive even though we do have full hook-ups. No activities are included in the price which was very high for a week. If you want to swim you have to go to the waterpark which is an additional cost. There is very little access to the lake from anywhere in the campground. They have kept it very, very wooded with a lot of underbrush. Not a place that I'd recommend bringing kids to unless you want to go to the waterpark every day (at the cost of $14.00 per person!).

Today we went to church and then drove to Buford, GA to the Mall of Georgia. One word will describe it - BIG! We went to see the movie RV and then walked a small portion of the mall. The movie was OK. Certainly didn't depict "true" RVing, at least not in my opinion.

Here are pictures of the church we attended this morning. Had all of about 30 people in attendance including us.

Morgan begins her day camp tomorrow. She has already met one of the counselors and all of the horses. She is hoping that she will get to ride ACE - the biggest horse they have. Time will tell.

Stay tuned - more to come later this week.
