Another Day At The Lake?
Thought I'd post some pictures from Lake Lanier Islands. We are literally camped on a island, of course connected to the mainland by bridges. The biggest gripe (I guess that would be a good word) is since we are on an island and of course surrounded by water - where is it??
This picture is of our campsite looking toward the lake and the second is just past our campsite.
The only sites that have really great lake view are the tent sites. There are some RV sites that have less obstructed views, but they are not full hook-up. If we come back to this area, it will not be to this park. We are going to check out some of the other "public" camping areas later this week.
I stopped in a "No Parking" spot to take this picture of the lake and part of the waterpark. When you can see the lake, it really is pretty.
Here is Morgan on her first day at day camp. She was so excited yesterday afternoon, when I picked her up. She went on a 2 mile trail ride on "Fred" a larger pony, did arts and crafts, learned to groom a horse and spend about 2 hours in the wave pool at the waterpark. She said that today she is hoping to ride "Ace" a 16 year old horse, make that a "big horse". According to what she told me last evening, on Thursday and Friday, the group will get to ride in the arena and will do some trotting, small jumps etc. She is soooo excited about this camp, but then I knew she would be since she is so horse crazy. I think she will ask Santa for a horse this year - are you listening Mom and Dad???
More to come......
