Franklin,KY
We finally saw Nashville in our rear view mirror on Thursday - yea!!!
We got a new step installed thanks to Cummins and got under way around 11 am. Because of the time and disorganization of the motorhome and me, we decided to stop at the Bluegrass Music Park in Franklin, KY. for a couple of nights.
The first thing was to just enjoy our first evening on the road again at home.
Because the refrig had lost power at some point during the three weeks in Nashville, we had to throw everything away so that meant shopping for replacements which we did this morning. This afternoon we began catching up on laundry and will finish it tomorrow. I've done a little cleaning in between but have much more to do. I don't know where all the dust comes from but it seems like I can never catch up!
Saturday morning we will head out to Oaktown, IN. New Vision RV Park is a Passport America park that we stayed at when we first began full timing 5 years ago. We stayed there after the Escapade on our way to PA. I remember it is fairly close to Washington, IN and a Amish community. There is or was a terrific Amish restaurant there called the Black Buggy. I do think we will have to give it a try again. The nice thing the first time we went is that it was our birthday month and both our meals were free! Won't be that lucky this time but what the heck. It will be worth it.
Our first destination is outside Janesville, WI to visit with Garry & Jenny. Hope to spend a couple of nights at the campground where Garry is working. Then it will be off to catch other friends on up in WI. We are so far behind our "schedule" I hope we don't miss them!
So, there you are - we are on the move again and praying that our troubles are behind us.
Come on back as I hope to have more interesting things to write about now.

So glad you are finally on the road, Janice. We stayed at the Blue Grass Music park. That is where we were when we met you at the Cracker Barrel. Good luck and safe travels.

WAHOO!!! On the road again! Be careful and have fun in WI. Be sure to eat some Walleye for me. You will like it. It is a very mild, sweet fish.

Boy, change of plans already and we've haven't left Franklin, KY. New Vision RV Park is full, full of construction people working on a new power plant in the area. The other campgrounds in the local area are full also. To bad they don't save a few spot for those of us who are traveling and need a night or two! Anyway, we are heading to Remington, IN to see Henry & Anne. Will stay there Sat. night and then on to Brodhead, WI to visit with Garry & Jenny.

Someday we are going to meet on the road. I just know it. We are in Michigan. Should be in the UP in a week or two and then along HWY 2. Heading for Sioux Falls to renew our driver's license before Aug. 23. Travel safely and stay healthy. Has it really been 5 years since we've seen you last? JB
